Aug 10, 2022 · The PSA 2-Stage AR Trigger. I’ve read in several places that Schmid is making the trigger for them. It has a Nickel Boron finish to enhance lubricity, the first stage breaks at 2.0lbs. The second is 2.5 pounds and the total comes in at 4.5 pounds. The trigger isn’t adjustable. Great triggers, IME. I have a few, zero issues. Nice improvement over milspec type triggers, eliminates the gritty pull, just don't expect a match trigger. Tan spring = ~6.0 lb pull weight. Purple spring= ~4.5 lb.pull weight. *Purple spring may cause light strikes with some ammo. Posted: 10/27/2022 7:53:01 PM EDT.Not a trigger expert. IMO it is worth it when they go on sale. $60 is a good price. I have one and it is fine. Not on par with the geissele, but much better than the stock trigger. I've gotten 2 EPT's in the past and neither one felt as good as my 2 ACT triggers I replaced them with. Maybe I got some bad PSA ones, they felt gritty and not as smooth as my ALG's. Pretty good from a budget standpoint if you need a stock assembly. That said, I bought an Armalite LPK (no FCG) and an ALG ACT (GREAT trigger, especially with the lighter hammer spring that they're including now) for $80 from MidwayUSA last week because I didn't need a tube/stock.
