4runner 285 70r17 no lift
I find this strange since 285/70s are made in 16, 17, 18, and 19.5 sizes. Truthfully, a hypothetical 265/75 R17 tire would have virtually the same diameter as a 285/70 R17, but would fit better with less potential issues with rubbing. The fact that 265/75 R17 doesn't exist is what allows you to just refer to tire size as 265 or 285.The largest 4Runner community in the world. Rubbing has more to do with your wheel offset than your lift. If you rock some super trendy -30 offset wheels, you can rub with 265s. If you are running trd/trail wheels you can run most 285s with no lift.

On my 2015 Prerunner, no cmc, removed mud flaps only no rubbing even on trails to camp and hike spots. Using stock backspacing, you can run both 275's and 285's with no lift and very minor to no rubbing. If you add wheel spacers, you are actually more likely to rub.
