Salesman brought to shop where it was apparently overridden when truck brought back to me. Next day engine code warning light was on. Took to my old mechanic who explained it was EVAP pressure code. He overrode it and told me to get checked under warranty. Went to dealer for repair. The EVAP monitor is non-continuous. This means the system is only tested and monitored under certain conditions. For code P0456 to be set, the ignition must be off, the fuel must be at a certain level and ambient temperature must be within a pre-defined range. Code P0456 is caused by a small leak detected in the Evaporative Emission system.

Had my mechanic check it over and he ran a smoke check on it and said he found nothing there. So he put on a brand new gas cap. Still happens about once a week.
